CyberArk integrates with Microsoft to bolster cyber defence

Today

CyberArk has announced the integration of its Privileged Access Manager (PAM) with Microsoft Defender for Identity, aiming to improve cyber threat detection and response for organisations.

The partnership is designed to provide a unified view of identity security, enabling quicker identification and containment of threats.

Microsoft Defender for Identity is a cloud-based solution that protects on-premises identities from advanced cyber threats while managing identity risks.

It integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Defender XDR, using signals from hybrid identity environments and other workloads.

This approach enables Security Operations (SecOps) teams to better detect and investigate sophisticated threats targeting their organisations.

CyberArk's Privileged Access Manager, part of its Identity Security Platform, provides controls for securing privileged access across IT and cloud operations. It supports teams in managing applications in hybrid and multi-cloud environments while ensuring robust identity protection.

Clarence Hinton, Chief Strategy Officer at CyberArk, commented on the integration's significance: "Through the CyberArk C³ Alliance's diverse ecosystem of partners, we continue to provide unparalleled protection for shared customers against identity-centric attacks."

"CyberArk's privileged access management integration with Defender for Identity allows organisations to maximise their existing investment and simplify their efforts to protect identities across their on-premises and multi-cloud environments."

The integration offers organisations several benefits, including enhanced privileged access control, improved monitoring capabilities, and streamlined workflows. By connecting data from various systems, Security Operations Center (SOC) and Identity teams gain deeper investigative capabilities.

These include faster threat-hunting, more accurate attack path identification, and comprehensive remediation options. Together, these capabilities contribute to greater cyber resilience for organisations.

CyberArk's collaboration with Microsoft aligns with its mission to address identity-centric threats.

The company is committed to delivering security solutions that protect critical assets in increasingly complex IT landscapes.
