Atlassian cloud apps now available on AWS Marketplace globally
Atlassian's cloud-based collaboration software products, including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management, are now available for enterprise procurement through AWS Marketplace, following a strategic partnership agreement between Atlassian and AWS.
Procurement streamlining
Organisations can now purchase Atlassian Cloud Apps directly from AWS Marketplace in over 150 countries, with support for more than 15 currencies. The availability of Atlassian's applications aims to cut procurement complexity for enterprise IT and procurement departments.
According to research commissioned by AWS, organisations using its Marketplace have reported a 70% reduction in the time required to discover solutions, 60% faster procurement cycles, and a 30% acceleration in time-to-market.
Teams can request private offers for Atlassian products and consolidate their software spending with existing AWS accounts. The integration also provides a single channel for contract management, billing, and support.
"Accessing Atlassian's products through AWS Marketplace has simplified how we buy and deploy software. What used to involve multiple approvals, separate contracts, and disconnected billing now runs through our existing AWS workflows cutting our procurement cycle from weeks to days. It's not just faster; it's given us a clearer view of our cloud spend and a much stronger return on our investment across both platforms," said Matthew Hargreaves, Head of Product Delivery and Automation, Lendi Group.
Expanded integrations
The collaboration extends beyond procurement, with Atlassian and AWS developing twelve joint integrations to bring cloud and AI capabilities to enterprise customers. Solutions such as Amazon QuickSuite MCP and AWS Security Hub work with Jira Service Management, enabling more advanced data visualisation and security management within the Atlassian platform. The companies have also established a Cloud Centre of Excellence to support the migration of large enterprise workloads and provide access to trained cloud and AI solution providers.
Thousands of Jira and Confluence instances now operate on AWS Graviton processors, which Atlassian says have delivered faster performance and reduced latency for users.
Developer tools
Plans are in place to extend generative AI capability to Atlassian's developer community via the Atlassian Forge development platform. Forge will integrate with large language models from Amazon Bedrock, allowing developers to build and deploy AI-powered applications with no separate infrastructure management overhead. Initial models will include Claude 4's Sonnet, Opus, and Haiku offerings, intended to enable a wide range of AI-driven functionality within Atlassian-powered environments.
Market collaboration
The partnership between Atlassian and AWS features an expanded sales and go-to-market agenda, including collaborative publication of the 2025 Executive Insights Report, which explores trends in cloud and AI transformation based on survey data and subject matter expertise from both companies. Enterprises in both public and private sectors are being provided resources to inform their digital transformation initiatives, including guidance on managing the transition from on-premises to public cloud and leveraging AI technologies.
Customer reach
Atlassian's Cloud Platform is in use by more than 300,000 customers globally, including a significant proportion of companies within the Fortune 500. The AWS Marketplace listing aims to enable further adoption among large organisations undergoing digital and cloud transformation projects. The increased focus on AI, integration, and managed cloud services is also intended to address enterprise requirements for scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
"By bringing Atlassian's cloud solutions to the AWS Marketplace, we're making it even easier for organizations to innovate, collaborate, and scale-while unlocking greater cost savings, simplifying procurement, and accelerating AI-driven insights through tighter AWS integrations," said Bill Hustad, GTM Leader, Atlassian Partners and Alliances, Atlassian.
"Our strategic partnership with Atlassian demonstrates what's possible when we put customers first. Building on our Strategic Collaboration Agreement announced with Atlassian at re:Invent last year, we continue to accelerate cloud and AI transformation for customers by making Atlassian Cloud Apps publicly available in AWS Marketplace. This will make it easier and faster for customers to discover, procure, and manage Atlassian applications in AWS Marketplace. It's great to see the continued evolution of our partnership with Atlassian," said Chris Casey, Director of AWS Partnerships, Asia Pacific and Japan.
