FYI, this story is more than a year old

Acronis, the global cyber protection company, has been recognised as a leader in the IDC MarketScape's Worldwide Cyber Recovery 2023 Vendor Assessment published in November. The inaugural report highlights the company's vital role in the burgeoning field of proactive cyber defence and reactive recovery.

The IDC MarketScape noted, "Acronis was one of the first data protection vendors to identify and target the cyber recovery marketplace nearly five years ago..this additional research and development (R&D) allows the company to 'punch above its weight' among cyber recovery vendors."

The assessment evaluated 12 significant global cyber recovery vendors to help IT buyers identify possible candidates for their specific needs or to develop proof of concept.

Attributes that contributed to Acronis' leadership position include its solution architecture for cyber protection and recoveries, ease of implementation and management, and unique technology for data survival, loss prevention, and threat detection.

Also highlighted were the company's network of over 50 company-owned cloud data centres and its support for all major cloud hyperscalers, physical and virtual environments, and endpoint protection, as well its ability to classify data to comply with GDPR, HIPAA, and PII regulations.

Gaidar Magdanurov, President at Acronis, responded to the company's position in the IDC MarketScape study, "It is an honour to be recognised... As new cyber threats appear daily, our mission is to continue offering the most reliable cyber protection."

The report indicates that Acronis' solutions are a particular fit for SMB organisations seeking a robust, integrated solution that is easy to install and manage. Yet it also identifies its relevance to organisations with diverse workload requirements and geographically diverse operations, stating, "Acronis is certainly capable of scaling to address large-scale scenarios."

Furthermore, the report specified, customers wanting a solution with numerous market-leading cyber-resilience features, or those preferring implementation and management to be handled by an Acronis channel partner, will consider Acronis.

Acronis unifies data protection and cybersecurity to deliver integrated, automated cyber protection that solves the safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security (SAPAS) challenges of the modern digital world.
