Fri, 19th Apr 2024

Scality, a provider of cyber-resilient storage for the AI era, has revealed a key strategic partnership with Ingram Micro to amplify the distribution of ARTESCA, Scality’s immutable object-storage software for the US market. This alliance anticipates meeting increasing demand for ransomware protection and will provide channel partners with advanced access to Scality's solutions, according to a statement from the company.

Industry trends reveal a surge in need for on-premise Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) object storage to address crucial use cases, with North America projected to hold the largest market share of object-based storage. Notably, Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Distributed File and Object Storage anticipates that by 2028, 70% of data will be stationed on a consolidated, unstructured data platform.

Wally MacDermid, Scality's vice president of Worldwide Alliances and Distribution, elaborated, "We are excited to elevate our Ingram Micro relationship to meet the most critical priorities facing IT today. We are seeing explosive adoption of ARTESCA, our channel-friendly, cyber-resilient solution with leading providers, including Veeam. ARTESCA is a compelling choice for value-added resellers seeking to generate new revenue streams and help their customers address today's ransomware challenges."

The substantial adoption of ARTESCA follows its recent 2.0 version launch, which reported a 5x year-on-year growth rate. The object store enterprise-grade software, which offers easy-to-deploy appliance options and a competitive entry price, has fueled the rising demand for Scality's backup solutions. Crucially, ARTESCA's increasing popularity has seen channel partners drive 100% of the business.

Scality is moreover boosting its relationship with Ingram Micro by investing in vital marketing resources, support, training, and financial incentives to secure new opportunities. This investment aims to ensure channel partners have the right solutions to meet their customers' complex data storage requirements.

Cheryl Rang, vice president of Technology Solutions at Ingram Micro, discussed the importance of reliable data storage, stating: "Secure and actionable data are driving more opportunities within our IT ecosystem, yet the first step for channel partners is to ensure that proper storage and backup solutions are in play. We are pleased to expand our data solutions portfolio with Scality and help our channel partners enhance protection for their businesses and customers."

Scality is recognised for addressing challenging data storage issues such as security, performance, and cost efficiency. As it pioneers ransomware protection, the company's S3 object storage software provides an unbreakable form of immutability and tight cyber resilience. This alliance forms a crucial part of Scality's commitment to expand and secure its presence in the ever-evolving storage solutions market.
