Interactive makes two executive appointments with new CIO and CFO

IT services organisation Interactive has announced the appointment of two new senior executives, tasked with executing on the company's continued growth.

Belinda Cooney has been appointed as Interactive's chief financial officer, while Nick Scholefield will assume the role of chief information officer.

Interactive says the appointments reflect the steady growth and expansion of the company, which is now in its 30th year of operation.

Interactive CEO Mal McHutchison says, “I am pleased to welcome two executives of the calibre of Belinda and Nick to Interactive. They join at an exciting time for our organisation as we continue our success and deliver for our customers in a multi-cloud world.

Nick Scholefield joins Interactive from Perpetual where he also held the CIO position.

He has also served in delivery leadership at Hewlett Packard and has held a number of technology leadership roles at BT Financial Group.

On his appointment, Scholefield says, “I am very happy to be joining a company like Interactive and I look forward to helping our clients adapt and take advantage of the rapid advances in technology, particularly that of multi-cloud.

Belinda Cooney joins Interactive from Macquarie Capital, where she has worked extensively in the technology industry with clients and investee companies, ranging from early-stage technology ventures to Fortune 500 technology organisations.

She is an active member of the business community and has held several board and advisory committee roles, including being a current member of the Advisory Board of CSIRO's Data61.

Cooney says she is keen to join Interactive and use her skill set to move the company forward.

“I am delighted to bring my experience and knowledge of technology markets to an organisation of Interactive's pedigree,” Cooney says.

“Interactive is an attractive opportunity due to its ability to provide customers with a unique and continually evolving breadth of leading-edge technology infrastructure services. I believe my customer and delivery experience will enable both Interactive and our clients to succeed in an increasingly fast-paced business environment.

Interactive describes itself as Australia's largest, privately owned IT services company, offering multi-vendor hardware maintenance, cloud and managed services as well as data center and business continuity services from sites across Australia.
