G2 Crowd, a peer-to-peer, business solutions review platform, has released its annual ranking of the world's Top 100 software companies for 2018.
This leaderboard is based on user reviews documented by G2 Crowd over the past year.
What's interesting about this year's ranking is that global giants like Facebook, Twitter and Apple didn't make the list.
And companies like Microsoft and Cisco aren't in the top ten; instead, the top spots were taken by Shopify, WordPress, Mailchimp, Slack and Google.
In the overall segment, Slack Technologies topped the rankings to claim the number one position.
The small-business segment was led by 15Five, which ranked 45 on the overall list.
In the mid-market segment, Mailchimp, which ranked 4 on the overall list, secured the top position, and in the enterprise segment, Slack maintained their top ranking.
